Privacy Policy.

This policy explains what information ChildfreeCircle collects, why we use it, when it may be shared, and the choices available to you.

Effective date: July 16, 2026

Who we are and what this policy covers

ChildfreeCircle is an independent editorial website about childfree dating, relationships, friendship, and community. ChildfreeCircle is responsible for the personal information described in this policy. This policy applies to childfreecircle.com, our email communications, and messages you send to us. It does not apply to dating apps, social networks, or other third-party services that we link to.

Information we collect

Information you provide. If you contact us, request a correction, submit a story or resource suggestion, or subscribe to email updates, we may collect your email address, your name if you provide it, your communication preferences, and the contents of your message.

Technical information. When the site is deployed, our hosting and security providers may automatically process limited technical information such as IP address, browser and device type, requested pages, timestamps, referring page, and diagnostic or security events. We use this information to deliver the site, maintain security, prevent abuse, and diagnose errors.

Please do not send sensitive personal information, dating-profile credentials, government identifiers, financial details, or private information about another person.

How we use information

  • To respond to questions, corrections, and editorial suggestions.
  • To send email updates you requested and manage unsubscribe preferences.
  • To operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the website.
  • To keep appropriate records and comply with legal obligations.
  • To protect our readers, rights, services, and the public from fraud, abuse, or security threats.

Legal bases for processing

Where the UK GDPR, EU GDPR, or similar law applies, we process information with your consent when you request marketing email; to take steps you request, such as responding to a message; for our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving an editorial website; and when necessary to comply with law. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier processing.

Cookies, analytics, and advertising

ChildfreeCircle does not currently use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking, or analytics scripts. Essential storage may be used if required for security or a feature you request. If we later introduce analytics, advertising, or other non-essential cookies, we will update this policy and provide any notice or consent controls required by applicable law before using them.

When we share information

We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We may disclose limited information to service providers that host the site, deliver requested email, protect the service, or support our operations. Those providers may use the information only to perform services for us and must protect it appropriately.

We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law or legal process, protect rights or safety, investigate abuse, or complete a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or transfer of the website. If ownership changes, this policy will continue to apply unless you receive notice of a change.

Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including responding to correspondence, maintaining appropriate editorial records, providing requested email updates, resolving disputes, protecting the site, and complying with legal obligations. We periodically review retained information and delete or anonymize it when it is no longer needed.

Newsletter subscription information is retained until you unsubscribe. We may retain a minimal suppression record afterward to ensure that we honor your unsubscribe request. Contact messages, editorial correspondence, and technical logs are retained according to their purpose, the needs of our service providers, and any applicable legal or security requirements.

Security and international transfers

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No internet service can guarantee complete security. Our service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, we use recognized transfer safeguards or rely on another lawful transfer mechanism.

Your privacy choices and rights

You may unsubscribe from marketing email through the link in the message or by contacting us. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or an explanation of how we use your information; object to certain processing; withdraw consent; or appeal a decision about your request. You may have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.

Where California privacy law applies to ChildfreeCircle, California residents may request to know, correct, or delete covered personal information and may exercise applicable opt-out or limitation rights. We will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right. Because we do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, we do not currently provide a “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link.

To make a request, email [email protected]. Describe the request and the email address involved. We may ask for information reasonably necessary to verify your identity or authority. An authorized agent may submit a request where permitted by law.

Children

ChildfreeCircle is intended for adults aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a person under 18 has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and delete it where appropriate.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy when our practices or legal obligations change. We will post the revised policy here, change the effective date, and provide additional notice when required. Questions and privacy requests may be sent to [email protected].
